Josh’s Wish List

As a Pastor, it is super important to have a decent library to help with studying, learning, and growing. I have the beginning of one, thanks mostly to my friend Ryan Guard. But… I have some work to do. Here is my wish list of books that I want to own. Some are for theological study, some for youth, and some for what I would call “leisure” reading, even though they are really books that teach me and challenge me. What books do I need to add?

Theology Books

Systematic Theology – Wayne Grudem

The Complete Words of Josephus

Christian Theology – Millard Erickson

Robertson’s Word of pictures of the New Testament

The Baker Atlas of Church History

Christianity Through the Centuries – Earle Cairns

A harmony of the words and works of Jesus Christ – Dwight Pentecost

NICOT – New International commentary on the Old Testament

NICNT – New International commentary on the New Testament

Books on Youth and Culture

Almost Christian – Kendra Creasy Dean – GOT IT, thanks Scotty!

Children of Divorce – Andrew Root – I bought this one, as it is important for me to understand

Teen 2.0 – Robert Epstein

Important Books

The Cost of Discipleship – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Radical – David Platt, Thanks Barnes and Noble gift card!!! GOT IT.

Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger – Ronald Sider

Spirit of the Disciplines – Dallas Willard

Unchristian – David Kinnaman

The Reason for God, Prodigal God, and Counterfeit Gods – Tim Keller

If you are interested in being extra kind and generous to me. Here is a link to my wish list on Amazon. Just in case…

You should set up a Wish List on Amazon if you haven’t already. It allows you to create a link that people can click and purchase these books for you. It retains your shipping info, so it’s easy for people to use it for bdays, surprises, etc…
